# ShotBits Update: Easier Registration, Clearer Rewards and a Better User Experience
We have recently released several important improvements across ShotBits. These updates make the platform easier to use, clearer to understand and more reliable when earning rewards.
## Faster and Simpler Registration
Creating a ShotBits account is now much easier.
New users only need to provide:
- An username
- An email address
- A password
- Acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy
Security PIN, FaucetPay email and optional profile details can now be added after registration. This allows new users to create an account faster and complete the remaining setup when needed.
## New Account Setup Checklist
New users will now see a simple checklist to help them complete their account:
- Choose a security PIN
- Add a FaucetPay email
- Upload the first Shot
The checklist updates automatically and disappears once everything is completed.
A PIN and FaucetPay email are still required before requesting a withdrawal, keeping sensitive account actions protected.
## Improved Registration Page
The guest homepage and registration area have been simplified to make ShotBits easier to understand, especially on mobile devices.
- The registration form appears closer to the top of the page.
- The main benefits of ShotBits are explained more clearly.
- Password requirements are displayed directly below the field.
- A show or hide password button has been added.
- Username availability is shown while completing the form.
- Valid form information is preserved when an error occurs.
## Configurable Password Requirements
Password requirements are now displayed consistently during registration.
The current minimum password length is six characters, while longer and more secure passwords are strongly recommended.
## Faucet Improvements
The Faucet page has been updated to make its rules easier to understand.
It now clearly separates:
- Claim cooldown: the waiting period after receiving a reward.
- Sponsor unlock: the limited period available to claim after visiting the sponsor.
Reloading the page can no longer reset the cooldown or allow additional claims.
## More Reliable Small Rewards
We fixed issues that could prevent some small or fractional rewards from being credited correctly.
This affected certain Faucet, PTC, ZerAds and referral rewards. Missing eligible rewards identified during the correction process were safely recovered.
## More Accurate Statistics
Platform statistics now provide a more accurate view of completed activity.
- Only successfully sent withdrawals are counted as paid.
- Payments still under review are not included in total paid statistics.
- Test or unsuccessful Offerwall activity is not counted as completed earnings.
## Improved Payment Proofs Page
The public Payment Proofs page has received a cleaner and more modern design.
- Usernames now link directly to user profiles.
- User avatars are displayed when available.
- Only successfully completed payments are shown.
- The page is easier to browse on desktop and mobile.
## Better Performance and Navigation
Several pages now load more efficiently, and broken or inconsistent links have been corrected.
We have also improved error pages and navigation so that invalid links no longer lead to confusing or unrelated pages.
## Stronger Protection Against Reward Abuse
We are reviewing every earning feature to make sure cooldowns and limits cannot be bypassed by refreshing pages, opening multiple tabs or repeating requests.
Internal PTC ads will also allow only one active ad at a time per user, preventing overlapping timers and accidental or abusive multiple claims.
## What Was Removed?
Only unnecessary steps and duplicated user experiences were removed.
- Non-essential fields were removed from initial registration.
- Confusing Faucet instructions were replaced.
- Duplicate registration prompts were reduced.
- Incorrect test activity was removed from public statistics.
## More Updates Are Coming
We are continuing to improve earning security, cooldown clarity and the overall ShotBits experience.
A new Mascot System is also planned, allowing users to choose a mascot, vote, compete in leaderboards and unlock cosmetic achievements.
