We have completed another important reliability update for the ShotBits Shortlink system.
Following our previous Shortlinks improvements, we continued monitoring the completion and reward process in production. During this review, we identified a few additional edge cases that could prevent a completed Shortlink from being credited correctly or could cause a user to lose their login session after returning from an external provider.
## What has been fixed?
### Reliable login sessions
Users should now remain logged in when returning to ShotBits after completing a Shortlink on an external website.
This resolves an issue where some users could previously be redirected to the login page instead of receiving their completion result.
### Safer reward processing
Shortlink rewards are now processed through one consistent and verified transaction flow.
A completion is only considered successful after the reward transaction has been confirmed. This prevents a Shortlink attempt from being consumed when the reward has not actually been credited.
### Automatic recovery protection
We improved the recovery system for rare situations where a reward transaction succeeds but the related Shortlink completion is not finalized correctly.
The system can now safely recognize the existing confirmed transaction and finish the completion without issuing a duplicate reward.
### No false cooldowns
A provider cooldown is now applied only after a successful and confirmed reward.
If a temporary processing error occurs, the completion will not be incorrectly treated as paid and the user will not lose the attempt because of a false cooldown.
### Clear completion messages
Users will now receive a clear message after returning to ShotBits, including:
- Reward successfully credited
- Completion pending or temporarily retryable
- Expired completion
- Already processed completion
This means there should no longer be silent redirects where the user cannot understand what happened.
## Tested in production
The updated flow has been successfully tested with a real Shortlink completion.
The user remained logged in, the completion result was displayed correctly, and the reward was credited to the Account balance through the verified ShotBits transaction system.
## What users need to do
No action is required. Simply open and complete Shortlinks normally from the Shortlinks page.
For the best experience, we recommend logging out and logging back in once before completing your next Shortlink.
