Security Update # Safer Withdrawals Are Now Live on ShotBits We have introduced a major security upgrade to make withdrawals safer, more reliable, and better protected against fraud and duplicate accounts. ## Why did we make this change? Protecting legitimate users and keeping ShotBits financially sustainable are two of our highest priorities. Fraudulent accounts, repeated withdrawal attempts, shared payment addresses, and automated abuse can harm the entire community. Our new withdrawal security system adds several layers of protection before a payment is processed. ## What is checked? Before processing a withdrawal, ShotBits may securely review signals related to: - Your account and recent activity. - Your IP address and recognized device. - Your linked FaucetPay address. - Recent account security changes. - Previous withdrawal requests. - Unusual or potentially fraudulent activity. These checks are automatic and are designed to prevent unauthorized payments, duplicate accounts, and abuse of ShotBits rewards. ## Some withdrawals may require review Your first withdrawal, or a withdrawal that triggers additional security checks, may be placed under manual review before being sent. This does not necessarily mean that your account has done anything wrong. It simply means that our team needs to verify the request before releasing the payment. Please note: submitting repeated withdrawal requests will not speed up the process and may cause additional security checks. ## What happens to your balance? When a withdrawal request is accepted, the requested amount is temporarily reserved from your available balance. This prevents the same balance from being withdrawn more than once while the payment is being processed or reviewed. If a payment fails with a confirmed error, the reserved amount will be returned according to the withdrawal status. If the payment provider returns an uncertain response, the request may remain under review until it can be safely verified. ## One FaucetPay address per account A FaucetPay address can only be associated with one ShotBits account. Another user cannot use the same address to request a withdrawal. This rule helps us prevent duplicate accounts and ensures that payments are sent only to the verified destination linked to the correct account. ## Security changes may temporarily delay withdrawals A temporary withdrawal hold may be applied after sensitive account changes, including: - Changing your password or security PIN. - Changing your FaucetPay address. - Signing in from a new IP address or device. - Recovering or securing your account. These temporary holds protect your balance in case somebody gains unauthorized access to your account. ## How to avoid unnecessary delays - Use only one ShotBits account. - Do not share your account or FaucetPay address. - Keep your password and PIN private. - Avoid frequently changing devices or networks before withdrawing. - Make sure your FaucetPay information is correct. - Do not use VPNs, proxies, or automated tools to access ShotBits. ## A safer platform for everyone These changes help us protect honest users, reduce fraudulent payments, and keep ShotBits rewards available for the real members of our community. Most legitimate users will not need to do anything differently. Simply continue using your account normally and provide accurate payment information. Thank you for helping us keep ShotBits safe. — The ShotBits Team
